4ipnet FPS408 is a compact desktop 8-port 10/100MBps Ethernet switch that also provides Power-over-Ethernet
through 4 PoE ports. The low-profile housing will fit into most deployment environments, not only providing network extension but also supplying an alternative power source to other PoE devices such as wireless APs or VoIP phones.
FPS408 provides 4 10/100Base-TX PoE ports with IEEE 802.3af compliance, supplying max 15.4W per port and total PoE budget of 36.3W per system. It meets the demand for a standard-proof single pipe that delivers both network traffics and power to other IEEE802.3af-compliant devices without the hassle of running extra cables. Deployment environments such as hotspot, hospitality, residential, or even business will find the FPS408 an ideal network building block that connects traditional networking devices and PoE devices.
In addition to serving as an alternative power sourcing device, FPS408 also features handy data switching capabilities like Auto MDI/MDIX to handle straight/crossover cabling, auto-negotiation to adjust to the best available data transmission rate on the link. To work with other 4ipnet networking products like UAM management gateways and PoE wireless APs (802.11 n/a/b/g), this device facilitates rapid network deployment without extra configuration.
