The pineapple has been a universal symbol of hospitality and welcome for many centuries all over the world.

To the Caribbean’s, the pineapple symbolized hospitality, and the Spaniards soon learned they were welcome if a pineapple was placed by the entrance to a village. This symbolism spread to Europe, then to Colonial North America, where it became the custom to carve the shape of a pineapple into the columns at the entrance of a plantation.

Another story tells that New England ship captains would return from their journeys and would put a pineapple around people’s houses as a symbol of a safe return. The pineapple has such a unique style to it that it was often used as the centerpiece in food banquets. The pineapple remains the symbol of hospitality today. A warm welcoming sense that says you are welcome to come in.

At SF WiFi we have our own take on the Hospitality pineapple.

The 4ipnet EAP700 Wall Jack Access Point is an in-the-wall Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11b/g AP, designed to blend with any office or home interior architecture or furnishings effortlessly.
The compact EAP700 in a small form factor lays snug in a standard wall outlet box, and hides the wall cutout with its faceplate. Its front panel features LED status indicators and a RJ45 wall jack. EAP700 has the interfaces to serve both wireless and wired LAN access.

By utilizing PoE, EAP700 comes with an advantage of running fewer cables in the duct. The Power over Ethernet (PoE) LAN port on the EAP700 serves as the power feed as well as the wired network feed. Optionally, it can also be powered via an AC adapter when PoE switch is not available.
Standalone, EAP700 is an easy-to-install and cost-effective solution for most of indoor wireless deployments, including hotel rooms, apartments, offices, classrooms, libraries, private homes, public kiosks, etc. When working under one of 4ipnet Controllers, the combined network turns into an intelligent building solution, a managed internet service, or a Wi-Fi hotspot network of various scales.

SF WiFi was contracted to install point to point wireless connectivity between two warehouse buildings. The network in Building A needed to extend to Building B. “The client needed network access at a remote building but wired connectivity between the buildings was not possible”.

Project Requirements:
• Wireless network backhaul
• Outdoor equipment
• Minimize, mitigate RF interference
• Power over Ethernet (PoE)
• Stable connectivity
• Install AP’s where 120v power is not accessible
• Centralized and simplified management
• Manageability features and ease of use
• Keep costs within budget

Solution:
SF WiFi installed high performance point to point equipment to extend the network from building A to building B. Combined with our proprietary custom design and PoE radios, SF WiFi enabled the client to have reliable and stable WiFi connections without additional costs of installing electrical outlets or access points. The client now has extended network between Buildings A and B for user laptops and handheld devices.

Point to point wireless business applications:
Provide coverage to complex spaces such as business offices and campuses Establish point-to-point link between separate buildings Deploy Internet, network distribution to remote sites (such as mobile parks, construction sites and festival events).

The SDS100 Smart Device Server generates on-demand accounts by triggering the on-demand billing plans pre-edited in the HSG200 and instructs the PRT100 POS Printer to print out corresponding
account tickets. Frontline hotspot operation is immediately simplified; receptionists and cashiers can provide customers or visiting guests with access receipts by pressing a few buttons on SDS100, bypassing manual configuration of the Gateway.
